Welcome to the 11th AONSA Neutron School 2019

The AONSA Neutron School is intended for newcomers to the field of neutron scattering research across physics, chemistry, biology, materials science and more. Lectures and tutorials covering the theory and practice of neutron scattering techniques are given by international experts. Students and post-docs will gain a comprehensive grounding in modern techniques and applications and have the opportunity to hear about the latest research being carried out with the technique.

The school will be held at the High-flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor (HANARO) in Daejeon, South Korea. HANARO is a 30 MW multi-purpose research reactor and has been playing a significant role as a national facility in the area of neutron scattering as well as various neutron science including radioisotope production etc.

The school is open to both local and international participants, however there is a limit of 30 participants, to ensure small group sizes for the practical experiments. The registration fee will cover your accommodation and some meals for the entire week.

The school organizers will do the best to make your attendance of the school enjoyable and memorable as well as educationally fruitful.

We look forward to welcoming you in Daejeon, Korea in the summer in 2019.
